These are similar to the more expensive fridges like the Dometic RX50, plus its this Alpicool R50 is package with more features.
The THQ Alpicool THQ50 features a clever door hinge system, meaning it can open outwards both left and right which is also removable making it a lot easier for cleaning. This feature means you can fit it in many more kitchen layouts and in far more compact areas. The removable door also makes it easier to remove or reinstall the freezer section. Removing this gives you the option of having a large fridge space without the freezer section. The other huge benefit to the door opening is you have access from ways. So whether you’re reaching for the milk to make a cup of tea from the back of the camper, or chilling in your front swivelled seat and want to grab a cool beer, its easier to access the fridge from either direction.

First of all we love this fridge. It’s the go anyway, do anything fridge. The 230v and 12v charging options, plus additional solar if required, its a great model, ‘out and about’ fridge. Plus if you need a back up fridge at home or have 230v plugs in your camper, you can charge it direct off that.
The Alpicool TWW35 Portable Battery Powered Fridge Freezer uses a high quality + high performance LG Compressor meaning it runs quieter and more efficiently than many other fridges on the market.
It features a clever door/ lid hinge system, meaning it can open outwards both left and right which is also removable making it a lot easier for cleaning. Featuring an LG compressor, double hinging door, brushless fan, separate freezer compartment and it's stunning finish the R50 is a fridge not to be missed. It's compact size can turn any unused space into a super efficient, 50L fridge/freezer for your campervan, motorhome, boat, caravan, coffee van, horse trailer - the possibilities are endless.
Drawing very little amperage as low as 1AH it's ideal for off-grid and self build installs, offering the ability to run effectively from solar power. We have one in our own van and it runs happily from a small solar panel, with plenty in reserve. To protect the battery from discharging too much should it run low, the R50 can cut off at 3 differing voltages. There's also the option to connect to Bluetooth and control the unit using the Alpicool App, which displays temperatures, voltage etc.
All units feature low emission and low environmental impact refrigerant gasses (R1234) and contain no HFC's, unlike other models on the market. We use refrigerant gas which has little to no carbon emissions at end of life.

Where does the CRX get its immense power?Compressor cooling technology, used in Dometic's CRX series, offers unrivalled cooling power. But how does it work? Well, it relies on a refrigerant that changes from a liquid to gaseous state in the evaporator. The evaporation process extracts heat from the interior of the cooling unit, causing the temperature to drop. The compressor draws in the refrigerant, compresses it and passes it on to the condenser. From here, the absorbed heat is released into the atmosphere. The refrigerant liquefies and flows back to the evaporator, where the cycle begins again. The result of this is an excellent cooling performance, capable of deep-freezing, even at extreme ambient temperatures.
